Cats love to curl up somewhere warm for a nap. But if your cat likes to laze about in the sunshine, can it become too much for them?
As the temperature hots up, so do our cats and along with this comes the risk they could suffer from heatstroke.
Summer tips for cats
If your cat goes out in the garden, make sure there are lots of shady spots for them to relax in.
Make sure they have water bowls with fresh, cool water and encourage them to drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.
Make sure the room they spend time is well ventilated and has some shady spots.
If you suspect your cat has heatstroke, time is of the essence so contact your vet immediately.
